NAPSLO Meetings
NAPSLO offers several industry and educational meetings during the year to members. There are two industry/educational meetings, the Annual Convention and the Mid-Year Educational Workshop, and two strictly educational programs, the NAPSLO Excess & Surplus Lines School and the Advanced School. In addition, in 2003 a seminar program was begun.
Annual Convention
More than 3,000 delegates attend the Annual Convention each fall and the meeting offers programs on current industry issues and provides attendees an opportunity to interact with other members. In addition, members elect new officers and directors for the Association at the Annual Business Meeting.
The 2008 NAPSLO Annual Convention is scheduled for September 10-13, 2008 in San Diego, CA. Convention registration information will be available closer to these dates.

Mid-Year Workshop
NAPSLO annually hosts a Mid-Year Educational Workshop offering educational programs on the industry and business. The 2008 Mid-Year Workshop took place February 20-23 at the Fairmont Scottsdale Princess Resort and the 2009 Mid-Year Workshop is set for February 26 - March 1 in Palm Springs.

Educational Schools
The Excess & Surplus Lines School is a three-day residential school offered each summer for men and women with two to five years of overall insurance experience but who are new to the surplus lines segment of the industry.
The Advanced School was designed for insurance professionals with five or more years experience and provides an extended course of study for experienced surplus lines professionals. It is offered each fall.

Technology
NAPSLO works with the American Association of Managing General Agents to offer members access to the AAMGA Annual Automation Conference. The 2006 conference took place in San Antonio in March.
Seminars
In 2003 NAPSLO added a seminar as part of an effort to offer important educational topics to members. A seminar on Negotiations Skills was offered in the Chicago area in the fall of 2003 and in April 2004 in Newark, NJ and new programs are expected to be offered in the fall of 2005.
