MEMBERS

NAPSLO is comprised of approximately 800 member offices and 600 branch offices located in 48 states, the District of Columbia, Puerto Rico, Canada, England, Germany, and Bermuda. Members represent the surplus lines industry and the wholesale insurance marketing system.

NAPSLO is not a provider of insurance nor provides insurance quotes. NAPSLO members do not provide coverage or quotes directly to the public, but only do so through retail agents and brokers that deal with the public. Consumers looking for insurance should contact their insurance agent or broker. See the the following page for information on placing insurance through Lloyd's.

Originally formed in 1974 as wholesale broker organization, NAPSLO now is comprised of four membership classifications: Wholesale Brokers, Companies, Underwriting Managers, and Associates.

NAPSLO Member Locator
NAPSLO broker and company members do not work directly with the public but work together with retail insurance agents to help the retail agent provide insurance coverage to their customers.

Membership Information
Firms interested in NAPSLO membership must meet various financial and other requirements, including being in business for at least two years. Membership applications are reviewed four times a year by the NAPSLO Membership Committee and Board of Directors.

NAPSLO holds its annual business meeting at the fall convention and representatives of Wholesale Broker, Company and Underwriting Managers main offices vote on officers, directors and any other items presented to the membership.

Branch Offices
Existing NAPSLO member firms wishing to list additional branch offices under their firm name should fill out the Branch Office Form and send to NAPSLO with check for $300 per additional location.
