The 2008 NAPSLO Advanced School, is set for November 4-7, 2008 at the Eric P. Newman Education Center in St. Louis, Mo. The Advanced School is designed for men & women with 5 to 15 years of experience in the excess and surplus lines industry.
The Advanced School offers a comprehensive look at surplus lines and provides the opportunity to meet with others in the industry. Completion of the NAPSLO E&S School is not a prerequisite.

A discussion of the various Federal insurance reform proposals that could impact and change the way NAPSLO members do business and NAPSLO’s reaction to the proposals. - The Claims Experience - A look at the surplus lines claims process, coverage and liability issues.
- Conquering Financial Statements - Reviewing financial documents, accounting and reporting procedures.
- The Devil's in the Details - Standards and procedures to reduce errors and omissions exposures.
- Expanding Your Horizons in E-Business - Understanding exposures, emerging trends and specialty marketplace responses to E-Business.
- Reinsurance & Alternative Risk - Current issues, trends and the impact on the marketplace
Registration Requirements
The NAPSLO Advanced School is designed for insurance professionals with more than five years experience in the surplus lines industry. Persons with less than five years surplus lines experience are encouraged to attend the NAPSLO E&S School, offered each Summer.
Hotel Accommodations
Attendees stayed at The Parkway Hotel located at 4550 Forest Park Blvd. The Parkway Hotel is located on the campus of Washington University Medical Center.
Session Location
The Eric P. Newman Education Center is located within walking distance of the hotel. After hotel check-in, attendees should stop by the NAPSLO registration desk (in the hotel lobby), to pick up class materials. All sessions will be held at the Eric P. Newman Education Center.
Registration Materials
Registration materials will be mailed to NAPSLO and AAMGA members in early August. Applicants must work for a NAPSLO or AAMGA member firm.
