Automation Conference set for March 10-13 in Atlanta
NAPSLO will sponsor the keynote program on the state of technology at the 2007 AAMGA Insurance Automation & Agency Management Conference, March 10-13 at the Intercontinental Hotel Buckhead, located north of Atlanta.

Registration materials are available to AAMGA and NAPSLO members and can be downloaded from the AAMGA.

Other programs scheduled include Identity Theft; Services on the Web; XML; Tools for the Road Warrior; and Electronic Policy Delivery. In addition there will be a vendor fair and University classes will be offered.

Insurance Journal offers free subscriptions
NAPSLO has arranged a free subscription to the Insurance Journal for members, a $195 value. The first issue will be the 2007 Excess, Surplus and Specialty Markets Directory, published January 29. Markets can also list 25 coverages for free in this issue. The subscription will be addressed to the main NAPSLO member contact. Firms outside of the United States will receive a digital edition.

Mid-Year Workshop Deadline
The housing deadline for the 2007 NAPSLO Mid-Year Educational Workshop is December 27. In addition, after Dec. 27 registration fees will increase from $695 to $750 for delegates.

The Workshop is scheduled for March 1-3 at the Renaissance Esmeralda Resort in Indian Wells, California. Workshop programs include a presentation on current perspectives on reinsurance and a presentation on balancing work issues. In addition, the Derek Hughes/NAPSLO Educational Foundation has planned a golf outing on Friday, March 2, and golf registration materials are online.

Nevada updates E&S regulations - Details on NAPSLO's blog
Nevada recently updated regulations involving surplus lines premium tax rate, when affidavits must be filed, and when annual surveys of transactions must be completed. Details are on the changes are posted on NAPSLO's blog.

Membership Directory Updates
Membership directory update forms should be returned to NAPSLO by December 23 in order for changes to be recorded in the 2007 Membership Directory. Members can fax (816.741.5409) or mail the updates to the NAPSLO office.
