FORMER DEFENSE SECRETARY TO ADDRESS NAPSLO CONVENTION
William S. Cohen, who served as the nation's 20th Secretary of Defense under President Bill Clinton, will present the Derek Hughes/NAPSLO Educational Foundation Lecture Series talk at the 2004 NAPSLO Annual Convention in Orlando. (Sec. Cohen replaces Florida Gov. Jeb Bush who has notified NAPSLO he is unable to attend.)
Prior to serving as Secretary of Defense, the Maine Republican served in the U.S. Senate as a member of the Armed Services Committee and the Select Committee on Intelligence. He was elected to the Senate in 1978 after serving four years as a Representative from Maine.

HOTEL ROOMS SOLD OUT AT MARRIOTT WORLD CENTER
More than 2,250 people have registered for the 2004 Annual Convention and due to the overwhelming response NAPSLO is now sold-out of rooms at the convention hotel, the Orlando Marriott World Center. All new hotel room requests will be forwarded to the Courtyard by Marriott Hotel, located two miles from the Marriott World Center. 
Transportation will be provided to and from the hotel over the convention dates for the scheduled functions. The Courtyard's rate is $109 per night. Delegates at the Courtyard will be placed on the waiting list at the Marriott World Center and the NAPSLO office will notify them if rooms become available at the Marriott World Center.

NAPSLO TO OFFER EMAIL LIST TO MEMBERS
To help members contact each other, the NAPSLO Board of Directors has agreed to make the NAPSLO member email address list available to members for $500 beginning in September. Member firms can remove their firm's email address from the list by contacting NAPSLO at info@napslo.org or by going to the following page on the NAPSLO website.

AAMGA INCOME & EXPENSE REPORT
The AAMGA's 2004 Income & Expense Report is now available to NAPSLO members at the NAPSLO web site at http://www.napslo.org/template.cfm?Section=IncomeandExpense&NavMenuID=181. 
NAPSLO produced the report for a number of years and the AAMGA took over the project in 2003. AAMGA and NAPSLO MGA/wholesale broker members participated in this year's survey.

RECOGNIZE EMPLOYEES WHO RECEIVE THE ASLI DESIGNATION
Firms interested in recognizing employees who have achieved the Associate in Surplus Lines Insurance (ASLI) designation can request a digital copy of the promotional ASLI flyer (Which One is the Surplus Lines Expert? - Both) so that they may insert photos of their employees into the ad, which could then be displayed at the member's workplace.
The file is available in Microsoft Word or Adobe Illustrator format and is set up so that firms can insert their own employee's photos into the flyers.
