MIDYEAR EDUCATIONAL WORKSHOP
Registration materials for the 2005 NAPSLO Mid-Year Educational Workshop, set for February 17-20 at the Renaissance Esmeralda Resort in Indian Wells, California, have been sent to members and the deadline to register is December 28. 

Workshop programs include presentations on hiring and developing top performers; how to better manage employees; and avoiding employee litigation claims. In addition, the Derek Hughes/NAPSLO Educational Foundation has planned a golf outing for Friday, February 18.

CONVENTION SESSION AVAILABLE TO VIEW ON INTERNET
Anyone who missed the panel discussion Building Relationships Among The Retailer, Wholesaler & Company at the recent NAPSLO 2004 Annual Convention can now view it online. The Insurance Journal filmed the panel and has posted it on their web site at www.insurancejournal.com/broadcasts/r.php?vid=1294

The panel included a discussion of the importance of building relationships among the various components of the distribution system and featured Steve Brown, President of Hoffman Brown Company; Brad Dickler, President and CEO of Essex Insurance Co.; and Michael J. Warfield, President of U.S. Risk Underwriters. Mark Wells, publisher of the Insurance Journal, moderated the panel. 

LONG TERM DISABILITY SURVEY
In an effort to examine NAPSLO members' need for Long Term Disability coverage for their employees, NAPSLO is asking members to complete a short questionnaire on the subject. The five question survey can be found at at the NAPSLO website  at www.napslo.org/disability.cfm.

AXA Advisors has contacted NAPSLO about members' interest in such a program and will use the results of the survey to determine whether there is a desire for this type of program.
