ACORD Forms
ACORD working groups continue to work on two forms related to specialty lines: ACORD form 825, (Professional/Specialty Insurance Application) and 807 (Directors, Officers Liability Section).
The 825 form was approved by ACORD earlier this year and is available to download from ACORD and use. It is also scheduled to be added to several agency management systems. The 807 form is currently being reviewed by the Surplus Lines Working Group. Following its completion the Working Group plans on focusing on EPLI and crime, then E&O/Professional lines of business.
People interested in participating on the ACORD Surplus Lines Working Group can contact Brian Marable at ACORD at (845) 620-1700.
Participation involves taking part in conference calls once or twice a month to review potential changes in the forms.
