Technology report: state of industry, telecommuting among topics at Automation Conference
NAPSLO will again sponsor the keynote address at the 2008 AAMGA Automation Conference, scheduled for March 8-11, at the Dallas/Addison Marriott Quorum.
Jeff Yates, Executive Director of the IIABAs Agent Council for Technology will discuss the state of technology in the industry relating to retail agents and working with the surplus lines market.
In addition, a segment on how the surplus lines industry can improve working with retail agents will be presented.
The NAPSLO sponsored keynote address will be Sunday, March 9. Other programs scheduled include a session on Telecommuting, examining the Technical and Management/Human Resources aspects; a program on Cost Control, Budgeting, and return on investment regarding technology and projects; the new ACORD eForms+ and how they could assist the industry in transferring data electronically; a case study examining outsourcing; server virtualization and reports by the Focus Groups on XML, web services, open source, and new technologies.
In addition to the programs, there will also be a vendor tradeshow.
The conference is open to both NAPSLO and AAMGA members and registration material will be available on the AAMGA Web site beginning in late November.
London technology survey
NAPSLO is working on updating the technology survey to include London members. A notice was sent out to London members in late September and a limited number of responses have been received. Members can still complete the survey by going to londonsurvey.napslo.org.
