Committees review a number of topics at Committee Day
More than 100 Committee and Board members attended the NAPSLO Committee Day in Dallas in November to review and plan activities and programs for the upcoming year.
In addition, two newly formed committees, the PAC and the Career Awareness Committee began work at Committee Day.
PAC‘s goals include creating an image and brand and ensuring NAPSLOpac.org, meets its criteria, creating a quarterly newsletter to keep donors up to date.

Other committees also reviewed a number of plans during the two-day meeting.
The Convention Committee started work on the 2008 meeting, scheduled for Sept. 10-13 in San Diego, CA. The theme of the meeting will be “Mission San Diego, Navigating Change.”
The International Committee expressed they would like to expand beyond London, to possibly Bermuda for scholarship opportunities and want to ensure they are a viable committee in the future.
The Legislative Committee reviewed the Multi State Compact and discussed federal issues including the optional federal charter, TRIA and Non Admitted Reinsurance Act.
The Membership Committee agreed to a “meet and greet” reception for new members and would like to focus on ethics this year via newsletters and other forms of communication.
The Internship Committee is increasing their goal to 15-25 selected interns each year, versus the current 10. They also discussed the need for new marketing procedures to promote the internship and adding west cost universities to the contact list for 2008.
