Nearly 700 attend Mid-Year Workshop in Scottsdale

Nearly 700 people attended the Mid-Year Educational Workshop, which took place Feb. 20-23 at the Fairmont Scottsdale Princess in Scottsdale, Arizona. 

Friday’s programs featured a panel which discussed the impact of private equity.  

Panelists included: Matthew D. Kelty, Allied Capital Corporation; John Kraska, Hales; Gerard Vecchio, Century Capital Management; and Mark E. Watson III, Argo Group International Holdings, Ltd.

Saturday’s presentation focused on the upcoming election and featured Jordan Lieberman, publisher of Campaigns and Elections magazine.

In addition, the Derek Hughes/NAPSLO Educational Foundation’s annual golf outing took place on Friday. 

More than 145 golfers participated in the event, which raised approximately $100,000 for the Foundation.

The 2009 Mid-Year Workshop is scheduled for Feb. 26 - March 1 in Palm Springs, California.
