Election, Private Equity Impact, Mid-Year Topics
The Workshop starts on Thursday night, Feb. 21 with the Opening Reception. Programs begin Friday with the a look at the private equity role on the speciality lines insurance industry. The upcoming 2008 elections program will be highlighted during a program on Saturday.
A panel of industry and financial experts will discuss the impact of private equity on the insurance industry, and specialty lines in particular will be discussed, including what private equity firms are looking for, how they operate and what the impact on the business will be.
With no incumbent running for the White House and a number of Representative and Senators retiring in 2008, one of the biggest questions in politics is will there be more upheavals in Washington? To review the prospects, Jordan Lieberman, Publisher of Campaigns & Elections magazine, will review the various races and the impact on members associated with the industry.
NAPSLO instituted online registration for the Mid-Year Workshop and members could either register online or download registration material and submit to NAPSLO as past years.
Attendees will have a number of activity options, including a golf outing (sponsored by the Derek Hughes/NAPSLO Educational Foundation), a desert river float, an hors d’oeuvres and wine pairing demonstration, and a world class spa.
