Technology Report: Registration Underway For AAMGA Automation Conference

Registration is underway for the AAMGA’s Annual Automation Conference, “Management & IT: A Partnership for the Future,” which will take place March 8-11 at the Dallas/Addison Marriott Quorum by the Galleria.

NAPSLO members can download registration materials from the AAMGA web site (www.aamga.org). The early registration fee (before February 8) is $395 and after February 8 it will be $495. 

Hotel rooms are $119 per night and the reservation deadline is February 15. 

In addition to the Technology sessions, the Conference will include the NAPSLO sponsored keynote address by Jeff Yates of the IIABA’s Agent Council for Technology, discussing the state of technology in the industry relating to retail agents and working with the surplus lines market. 

Eric Winch, formerly with Vertafore and founder of Custom Insurance Solutions, will follow his talk to discuss the current automation challenges and future opportunities within the MGA/Wholesale community.

The NAPSLO sponsored keynote address will be Sunday, March 9. The conference starts on Saturday with a Welcome Reception Saturday evening and programs start on Sunday. 

Other programs scheduled for the conference include a session on Telecommuting, examining the Technical and Management/Human Resources aspects; a program on Cost Control, Budgeting, and return on investment regarding technology and projects; the new ACORD eForms+ and how they could assist the industry in transferring data electronically; a case study examining outsourcing; server virtualization and reports by the Focus Groups on XML, Web Services, and New Technologies.

In addition to the programs, there will also be a vendor tradeshow.
