New Compliance Course!
NAPSLO has developed a new online compliance course, designed with real world examples for brokers, underwriters, regulators and agents who have less than two years of compliance job training or experience. The course can also serve as a refresher course for experienced personnel. It is geared to surplus lines professionals and offers the ability to ask questions online. The course is easy to use and one can learn about licensing and record keeping, insurer eligibility, diligent search, tax remittance, policy disclosure and delivery, and independent procurement and industrial exemption. Online CE Credits
NAPSLO’s Educational Plan seeks to utilize the rapid advances in communication technology to provide economical, professional and practical on line education opportunities to its members.

 

In 2008 members of NAPSLO's Education Committee researched and selected an on line service, Success Continuing Education, to provide discounted on line CE courses to members. Success CE made a presentation at the NAPSLO Mid Year Meeting in February 2009 to demonstrate the service and NAPSLO members now can obtain continuing education credits online.

 

Under the program, employees of NAPSLO member firms can access the CE courses through the NAPSLO website and complete the process online. The cost is $34.95 (plus state fees) per person for unlimited courses for a year or $14.95 for individual courses.

CE Credits for NAPSLO Schools
The NAPSLO Education Committee works each year to provide CE Credits to students attending the NAPSLO E&S and Advanced School. Since first offering CE credits in late 2008 students have been able to receive credits for seven courses for attending the E&S or Advanced School.
