Surplus Lines Fundamentals Course Now Free for Limited Time
The new Surplus Lines Fundamentals Course is now available at no charge for a limited time. The course fee, normally $65 with continuing education credit or $60 without the CE option, is being waived for the first 100 learners who use NAPSLO's special course discount code.
The discount code, NAPSLO12, is available on a first-come, first-serve basis. To use the discount code participants can contact the Institutes by phone at (800) 644-2101 or access the course online. At The Institute's website users need to select the CE or non-CE version of the course, login, submit their order
and then enter the discount code under "Campaign discount."
Learners who complete the course and built-in assessments earn an online certificate of completion. A separate online exam is required if the learner wishes to earn continuing education credit.
The course has been filed for continuing education credit in all but two states, Minnesota and North Carolina. Nearly 20 states have already approved the course for credit and participants interested in continuing education credit are encouraged to confirm their state has approved the course.
The course debuted in May and NAPSLO Education Director Randall Jones and Arthur Flitner, Senior Director of Knowledge Resources at The Institutes, recently hosted an informational webinar about the course. A recorded copy of the webinar, which reviews the details of the course, is available to view online.
“This course is the newest addition to NAPSLO’s online course offerings and is ideal for training new hires of surplus lines insurers, wholesale brokers, managing general agents, and program managers, and others who have exposure to the surplus lines market,” said Mr. Jones. “With the course available at no charge for the first 100 learners, this will be an excellent opportunity for NAPSLO members to check it out.”
