Mid-Year Programs to Focus on Leadership Issues

Leadership issues involving the industry and the Association will be the focus of the Mid-Year meeting and programs as the meeting was updated this year to focus on leadership issues and also provide attendees additional time to meet with other people in the industry.

During the opening reception on Wednesday, March 3 guest speaker and moderator of an industry panel Stephen Harvill will address the audience during the reception for 5-10 minutes with a preview of the important Executive Session program scheduled for Friday morning.

Friday’s program will follow a buffet breakfast and will feature leaders of several of the top surplus lines insurance firms, discussing issues and challenges facing the industry.

Mr. Harvill, President, Creative Adventures, will moderate the program and panelists will include: Neal Abernathy, President & CEO, Swett & Crawford; E.G. Lassiter, Chairman & CEO, RSUI Group; Tony Markel, Vice Chairman, Markel Corporation; and Matt Power, Executive Vice President, Lexington Insurance Company.

Thursday morning’s program will feature a Town Hall meeting and buffet breakfast for all members.  NAPSLO Board members will be present at the Town Hall meeting to review the Association’s priorities, individual committee activities and also take questions from the audience.
