Tour A: VIP USS Midway Tour
Thursday, September 11
10:00 a.m. – 2:30 p.m.
Cost: $150.00
Participants will experience a tour of the USS Midway, the newest addition to San Diego’s naval history. Having the distinction of being the first carrier to be named after a World War II battle, the USS Midway was launched in 1945 and had a long and prestigious Navy career including being reconfigured from a straight deck carrier to an angled carrier in 1955. In her 47-year history, the Midway participated in actions from the Korean War, Vietnam to Operation Desert Storm. She was decommissioned for the last time at North Island Naval Air Station in San Diego. The tour of the USS Midway will be led by Scott McGaugh, the USS Midway Museum’s Director and author of the book “Midway Magic.” A casual lunch will follow at the Fish Market, located next to the Midway.
Dress: Casual dress and good walking shoes. No heels please.
Tour B: La Jolla Art Walk
Thursday, September 11 | 10:30 a.m. – 3:00 p.m.
Cost: $125.00
Attendees can explore La Jolla, Southern California’s “Jewel” by the Sea, and home to numerous boutiques, galleries and artists’ studios. Participants will be treated to an exclusive insider’s tour of local artists’ studios and some of the most spectacular galleries in town. Knowledgeable art walk guide, Michael Jacques, will share colorful anecdotes about this seaside getaway, making for a truly unique and personal experience. Lunch will follow at Azul Restaurant in La Jolla. After lunch, participants will have an hour to explore La Jolla on their own.

Tour C: Ocean Kayaking Adventure
Friday, September 12 | 11:30 a.m. – 3:00 p.m.
Cost: $150.00
Participants can try their hand at Kayak touring, one of the fastest growing sports today. Evolved from ancient Eskimo design, modern kayaks have changed very little and state-of-the-art materials allow participants to paddle the light, beautiful kayaks silently and comfortably. Kayaking can open the natural wonders of our environment and guests will have the opportunity to explore the blue waters of the Pacific Ocean in kayaks. Each person will be fitted with a wet suit, life vest, paddle and kayak. A personal guide will lead guests on an hour and a half tour. Box lunches and beverages will be included.
Dress: Casual – you will be fitted into a wet suit.
